Answers about how Renit works and what to expect.
For Tenants
How do I search for a rental?
Use Explore to filter verified listings by area, type and budget (NRs). On the app you can also ask Ren AI in plain language.
How do I contact an owner?
Open a listing and tap Apply or Make an Offer — both open a direct chat. Verified renters chat instantly; unverified renters send a request first.
How do I get verified?
Go to Profile → Verify now, check your details match your document, and upload a photo of it (citizenship, national ID, passport or driving licence). Most reviews finish within a day.
How do I avoid scams?
Rent only from Verified listings, keep chat and payments in Renit, and never pay a booking fee before you have seen the place in person.
For Owners
How do I list a property?
Go to List Your Property → register your building, then create a listing for each unit (floor, rooms, rent in NRs, photos).
How does property verification work?
Open the property from your dashboard and choose Verify Your Property, then upload ownership proof — a utility or electricity bill, a property tax bill, or another document showing the address. It's separate from your own ID check: one says who you are, the other says the building is yours to let.
How do I handle applications?
Applications and offers arrive in Messages with the offered price — Accept or Deny, then chat, share location, and mark as settled.
Is listing free?
Yes — listing is free during the Nepal beta.
